Coming to us from Louisville, Kentucky I’m glad to welcome Joel Pinkerton to the Possum County Folk art Gallery.
Joel has had a knack for creating all of his life. As a child he would re-create and re-assemble his toys. So, it is no surprise that this gift has carried into his adulthood. He re-assembles discarded kitchenware and other found objects to make the most facinating assemblages you have ever seen.
You’re going to love Joel’s creative flair.
He has been featured on HGTV (Home and Garden TV) for a series of lamps that he created. He was invited to the House of Blues in Orlando as a featured artist in 2004 and 2005. He was in our booth in Atlanta for Slotin's Folk Fest 2005.
Joel’s hobbies include playing harmonica and singing with his band which performs on a regular basis in Louisville at clubs and regional blues festivals since 1991.
Joel, now in his 50's....he's been married to his childhood sweetheart Laura since 1981 and they have two children.
