Had such a good week-end with our good friend

BARRELHOUSE CHUCK

Chuck came to town with his Barrelhouse Blues Band on Sat. night. He stayed the night with us and we found ourselves reminising and talking to the wee hours of the morning….LITERALLY…George finally looked up and said “Do you guys know what time it is?” and Chuck and I checked out the clock….It was 4:45 am.

We decided we needed to get our old bodies to bed. Which turned out to be a short nap.

Chuck had to be at the radio station with Harvey for the 1:00 Blues Revue. I don’t think he got there at ONE o’clock! Chuck, Harve, Albertina, Katie and Johnny came over to the house for a quick bite after the radio show. Chuck headed to the bedroom to rest for a while before the show.

He ended up leaving the house at 7 to set up for the 9:00 show.. WHICH WAS A BLAST!! The Midway was rocking with Boogie Woogie and original Barrelhouse songs. If Chuck is ever in your area you really need to see this world acclaimed musician. Chuck is the keyboard performer on the CADILLAC RECORDS movie starring Beyonce’.
