Junior and the Igniters at The Midway in Mishawaka

We had a hot time in the old town of Mishawaka, Indiana Friday night March 16th. Junior Combs and his band blew into town from LaPorte and put on one of the best shows we have seen in a while.

JUNIOR COMBS AND JESSE SCUTCHFIELD were great as always and we were happy to meet their new drummer MIKE McCALMET. Mike fit so well with the group that it seemed like they had been playing together for years. It's a great trio.

If your foot wasn’t tapping, there was something wrong with you. Even George , just recently getting out of a foot cast couldn’t sit still.

Junior and the Igniters played tirelessly for 3 sets. Playing Roots Rock, Rockabilly, Early Rock n Roll and blues. Junior had a new guitar he was trying out and I thought it was going to catch on fire!

They had harp wizard Tom Moore stand in on a couple songs and let me tell you, these guys never slow down (MUCH!!!)

Next month they will be in South Bend as one of the opening acts for Johnny Winters when he come to town. BUT, let me tell you this….anytime you see they are playing around your area….’RUN DON’T WALK!!”
